Twitter confusion

Twitter can be fun, but the messages are limited to 140 letters or spaces and sometimes you need to abbreviate words and it doesn't always become clear what you mean.
It's also hard for celebs to be "fair" in their comments to followers. I couldn't do it, I would suffer from constant bad conscience for not replying to a representative cross-section of all my followers. I follow Ricky Martin and today was one of those days for him. He said good morning and good night to the Aussies, missing the good evening to Europe. Myself and a friend happened to point it out to him almost at the same time so he corrected himself. However, something seems to have gotten out of hand and things got confusing for us followers. I assume Ricky has the situation under control! Not sure if my and my friend's comments were the cause of the flap but it would have felt nice to apologize and know it got through.
Here's to hoping for a less confusing future!

Language is important

I found a blog by Robin Sax an American lawyer who specializes in abuse against children for instance and also trafficking. She suggests that the expression human trafficking is too hard for people to connect to and that "the term "Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking" (DMST) to refer to what is happening here in the United States. DMST is defined as "commercial sexual exploitation of American children within American borders.""

She has a point as the term human trafficking makes it easier to envision that this only takes place in far away countries in Asia and Africa while it happens on a daily basis in our own countries in the western world. We need to wake up and smell the bad smell from this and to quote a hero of mine, Ricky Martin. React! It's time!

Sad news for the Spanish football fans

Espanyol's captain Dani Jarques died from a heart attack yesterday. A young, obviously very fit man had a heart attack! This makes me reflect on all the injuries that go on in the sports world. Here in Sweden we have all followed the saga of Peter Forsberg's foot, which seems to never heal. He's not all that old either, but injured constantly for years.
I think that in their pursuit of excellence these athletes push their bodies too far and one day, for some, very early, the body says NO this is too extreme!
Don't get me wrong I love hockey and Peter Forsberg is an idol but there has to be some type of limit for what the body physically can take.

It wasn't the flu

thankfully!!! Now Im hot just because of the weather. This is killing me! I have put on 4 pounds of pure water retention! Irritating when your feet suddenly feel like pillows with sausages for toes!

First week of work went as well as could be expected. I was VERY tired when I got home, but then again some of that was attributable to the heat. Another freak consequence is that I actually woke up at 6.40 today, Sunday and couldn't go back to sleep? For me, that is a very odd behaviour!!

N1H1 on the way? It just cannot be true!!!

I have to start working on Monday says the health insurance people. But I suppose even they would take the swine flu as a viable excuse not to.
Had a bad tummy upset last night and now I woke up feeling sort of hot and cold at the same time with a bit of head ache. No temperature yet though so I am keeping my fingers crossed it's just something that passes quickly.
